Mr. Richard H. Johnson named President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of DiFACTO Robotics America, LLC

DiFACTO Robotics America is pleased to announce that Richard (Dick) Johnson has been selected to lead the DiFACTO Robotics America team as its President and COO effective March 1st, 2017. As President and COO, Dick will be responsible for leading all aspects of the day-to-day business operations of the company. This position, the highest ranking executive position in the US Subsidiary DiFACTO Robotics America LLC, reports to Mr. Ajay Gopalswamy, CEO of the parent company - DiFACTO Robotics and Automation Pvt. Ltd. (DRAPL) of Bangalore India. All employees of DiFACTO America will report to Dick.
Dick Johnson brings a wealth of Robotic Automation industry experience, contacts, and technical knowledge with him to DiFACTO. Dick has over 40 years of experience in automation, including 22 years at Fanuc Robotics America in various leadership roles; culminating in his time as Fanuc’s General Manager of Material Handling. He also spent nine years at Rockwell Automation and Rockwell Automotive in various executive positions. Most recently, Dick has directly participated in the business development and growth of two robot integrators. Dick has a BS of Mechanical Engineering (minor in EE) from General Motors Institute, Flint Michigan (now Kettering University) and a MS in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. DRA also wishes to announce that Daniel King is leaving his position as CEO to start-up his own consulting firm, LeRoi Tech LLC. Daniel will work with Dick during a 3-month transition period to ensure seamless handover of DRA’s operations. DiFACTO is very grateful for Daniel’s valuable contributions starting and growing the parent company’s American business.
